After graduating from Blackford, I attended San Jose State University. In my senior year, I was offered a job with the San Jose fire department. I accepted the job and remained there until 1994. I held the rank of captain when I retired.  I was also fortunate enough to be able to bowl professionally for three years. I didn't make a lot of money, but bowled with several bowlers who are now in the hall of fame. I have 8 sanctioned 300's and four sanctioned 800's. I still bowl and carry a 200 + average.

I have also had the opportunity to sail extensively on long distance journeys such as San Francisco to Acapulco and San Francisco to Hawaii, all of the East coast and the Bahamas. I am an avid fly fisherman and golfer and enjoy country music and dancing. With a former spouse, I had two beautiful daughters. The oldest graduated from San Francisco State and is currently employed by Monster.com and lives in Boston.  My youngest is in her last semester of nursing school at San Diego State and will graduate in December with a BS in nursing.

Two of my closest friends are from Campbell High, Joe Falcone and Lee Ward, and we still enjoy each others' company!  I am currently married to my lovely wife, Donna.  We travel when we can and have been to Hawaii several times, Mexico, Costa Rico, cruises to the Panama Canal and Alaska, and camping (in a trailer) over quite a bit of the western United States and western Canada.

We live in central Oregon in a house we built 9 years ago on 5 acres and enjoy the lifestyle here very much.  Lots of golfing and fishing opportunities are close by as well as 2 grandchildren.  The weather and small-town life suit us well.
